GpLand is a casual platform for people to exchange ideas, anonymously if they wish. This is a non-profit organisation started by GPs for doctors of all specialties or anyone wanting to become a doctor. You can be at any stage of your medical training, or even at the pre-medical school stage still preparing.

Briefly explaining the layout of this website. You will see a panel of menus up the top. Most of them are self explanatory. Some of the less conventional menus are explained here:

• Home tries to put together various important information in one page for you. For example latest posts, news, and on the left you can also select a theme of your liking. Theme is basically the background and how pages and buttons look, a bit like putting on a different coloured case for your mobile phone. There are over 20 different themes for you to play with.
  
• Forum contains categories and subcategories of all the discussions that are on this website. You can read what people posted and make new posts under relevant categories.
  
• Pokes allows you to poke other members like in facebook.
  
• Bank is a fictional, imaginary magical bank where you accumulate money (not real money) by making more posts. This money will then let you do various things such as purchase special abilities or temporary special privileges. It's more like a game than anything else.
  
• Flashchat is a real time multichannel chatroom. Members who are logged in can message one another and communicate spontaneously. There is also a robot in there to keep some of us amused. Something separate to flashchat is shoutbox. You can type something in shoutbox and it will be broadcasted to all users who are currently using this webpage.
  
• Games includes an array of mostly short, simple, single player flash games but also a couple of more sophisticated multiplayer games. The two multiplayer games in particular are: (1) PHP Poker which allows members to sit around a table and play poker together online. Please do not gamble with real money. (2) The other multiplayer game - Dead Souls MUD is a text based dungeons and dragons realm in which members can assume a fantasy role (eg. elf, orc etc) and do things together such as chit chat or slay dragons. You can use Dead Souls MUD as a chat forum within a game.
  
• MedSocket is a place where people can sell their second hand medical things such as books, gears, furnitures what not. The layout is similar to ebay and should be quite intuitive to most users.
